Why Choose Urban Solace Catering To Cater Your San Diego Wedding
Let’s face it, choosing vendors for your wedding can be a daunting process. Especially when it comes to choosing those big-ticket items, like your caterer. After a while as you research, they all start to blend – how do you separate out those caterers that just plug and play versus those who take the time to really give you and your guests exactly what you want?
At Urban Solace, it’s all in the process. Our team will guide you through each step from our initial conversation to menu design to flawless execution to make your big day the culinary experience of your dreams. With the Urban Solace wedding catering process, we help you and your guests savor every moment.
Our process for newly engaged couples:
Initial Phone Consultation
There’s only so much you can get from an online form or an email – so once you’ve made your initial inquiry, we’ll reach out so we can talk to you – get to know you, hear your story as a couple, understand the vision you have for your special day. We know the food is just one part of the overall experience, so we take the extra time to make sure we know what you want – from colors, to entertainment, family traditions, to all the day of details. All of this helps us to create your custom menu – and we love getting to know you!
Personalized Proposal
Every couple is different, so every wedding proposal is different. We tailor each proposal to fit your unique style, preferences, and budgets. During the initial phone consultation, we take detailed notes and ensure all that information makes it into the proposal. These initial conversations don’t disappear the minute you sign a contract, though. We keep these detailed notes on hand so that everyone – from our excellent kitchen staff to our experienced service staff have all the information they need to give you the day you’ve been dreaming of.
Tasting
Once you have a menu confirmed, we are happy to set up a tasting for you and your fiancé! We give each couple the best possible experience during their tastings so that they can get a feeling of what the food will be like on the big day. Due to COVID, we are currently limiting the number of guests in our tasting room, but if you have any questions on guest attendance or concerns, let us know and we will try to accommodate as best we can.
Payment Plans
We understand that paying for a wedding is no easy feat. That’s why we allow couples to put down a hold the date deposit so that we can keep your date open while you finalize your vendor and menu decisions. We work with each of our couples to make sure we stay in their budget. Once you choose us, we also are happy to separate your invoice balance to 3 easy payments. We do require the balance paid in full 10 days prior to your event, along with the final guest count. If you have any questions, your Catering Sales Manager is always available to assist you.
Site Visit
Whether or not we’re familiar with your venue, we’re always available to do a site visit and walk through with you and your other vendors. Being able to walk the space is super helpful to all your vendors as not all weddings are the same and can help to put you at ease. We’ll walk you through the day from our end so that you can focus on celebrating with your friends and family – we’ll take care of the rest.
Working with Your Vendors
As your wedding day grows closer, loop us in (or your wedding planner) with all your vendors. This is beneficial as we know who will be there day-of, we can address any questions or logistics with one another and review your finalized event timeline. Of course, all behind the scenes, so you can soak in the moments with your fiancé, family and friends and we can deliver a flawless event.
